David is President and Co-Founder at Idea Farm Ventures (IFV), a consumer venture studio based in New York City. Prior to IFV, he had a 20-year academic career at the Wharton School where was a Chaired Professor, award-winning researcher and teacher, and developed Wharton’s first courses on digital marketing and e-commerce. David is an active seed investor in next-generation consumer and retail brands, including Bonobos (acquired by Walmart for $310m), Harry’s (acquired by Edgewell for $1.4b), Jet.com (acquired by Walmart for $3.3b), Quidsi (acquired by Amazon for $545m) and Warby Parker (privately held), among numerous others.David speaks globally on digital marketing and e-commerce for clients including Alibaba, Google, Haier, Nike, and Ralph Lauren. He is also author of Location is (Still) Everything: The Surprising Influence of the Real World on How We Search, Shop, and Sell in the Virtual One, an authoritative book on how to win in the digital economy.

His academic research is published in Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Management Science, Marketing Science, MIT Sloan Management Review and California Management Review. He is a recipient of the Frank M. Bass Outstanding Dissertation Award, POMS Applied Research Challenge First Place Award, WISE Overall Best Paper Award, three John D.C. Little Best Paper Finalist Awards, and two INFORMS Long Term Impact Finalist Awards, among others.David holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business and an M.S. in Statistics, from Stanford University, as well as an M.Com. Rajeev Gupta is the Country Head for TCS Mexico and Nearshore Head for TCS Latin America. TCS’ Nearshore Operations are the largest across any other IT company in Latin America.

Rajeev has 23 years of experience in TCS and has been associated with TCS’ top global clients in Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Spain and USA in different areas such as IT, Business management and development, Process management and Client relation management. Issam leads the software team at HighRes Biosolutions. As the VP of Software, Issam leads HighRes Biosolutions cloud migration efforts by expanding the team expertise in cloud development. Issam has built a strong, globally distributed team that is focused on providing modern cloud solutions.

Prior to HighRes Biosolutions, Issam was the VP of Engineering at Brainshark, a leader in sales enablement. At Brainshark, Issam led teams located in Boston, Medellin, and Lima. Brainshark used a combination of private cloud and Azure. Issam also led a globally distributed software team at Carbon Black, which has a large presence in Guadalajara. Issam played a critical role in helping the company launch its AWS cloud product and adopt agile practices.

When is Nexus 2022?

Nexus will take place in two phases: Nexus Opening Night, held from 6pm to 8pm, in New York City on June 8. The next day, June 9, the main Nexus conference will take place at the Apella Events Space, from 8am to 6pm.

Where is Nexus 2022?

Nexus Opening night will be held at a location to be announced. The Nexus 2022 conference will take place at the Apella Events Space, 450 E. 29th St, New York City.

What hotel should I stay at?

The Nexus 2022 team has created a select list of hotels that are within a short distance to the Nexus conference. Please refer to our Hotel page on the Nexus 2022 site.

Who will attend Nexus?

Nexus attracts enterprise sourcing decision makers, client brand leaders in technology, marketing and customer engagement, software and IT services firms, business process outsourcing providers, CX and call center services companies and trade and investment agency members.

How many people will attend Nexus?

Nexus typically registers between 150 and 200 people.

Will there be an exhibition area?

Yes. One of the main features of Nexus 2022 is our exhibition area, where attendees will be able to interact with industry leading organizations.

Will food be served?

Yes. Nexus 2022 will provide snacks, coffee and tea, and a full lunch.

Will there be closing reception?

Yes. Nexus 2022 will conclude with a sponsors cocktail reception.

Where can I register?

Registration will open on February 24th, 2022 for Nexus registration. (Both In-Person and Virtual registration will open.)

How much does it cost to attend Nexus?

Nexus attendance can be secured in one of two ways: As a sponsor or as a regular attendee. Sponsorship packages are available upon request. The cost to attend as a regular attendee will be $550 until March 31, $650 for the month of April, and starting May 1 until the close of registration on June 7, the fee will be $695.

Can I attend virtually?

Yes. For the first time in the history of Nexus, the conference will be open to a virtual audience.

Does Nexus have awards?

Yes. The annual Nexus Illuminate Awards, celebrating the best of the Nearshore, is a key part of the Nexus experience. Award winners will be announced at Nexus Opening Night on June 8.

What does the virtual experience provide?

The Nexus 2022 conference main event, including all presentations, panel sessions and announcements, will be streamed to the pre-registered virtual audience. Those who register and pay for access will receive instructions on how to access the live stream.

How many countries are represented?

Nexus typically attracts attendees from over 15 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
